Objective

This form of grant offers researchers who have only recently completed their doctorates the opportunity to develop their ideas during three years.

Application

Who can apply

Researchers who have recently been promoted, with a maximum of three years after having completed their doctorates (calculated from the date on which the doctorate was formally awarded to the deadline for the relevant round of Veni grant applications).

Researchers from abroad may apply

What can be applied for

The maximum amount of grant will be € 250,000.

When can be applied

Closing date for applications was 7 January 2010.

Procedure

Applications can only be submitted electronically via NWO's Iris system. The forms can be downloaded two months before the deadline from the website and be submitted electronically. More information about the procedure can be found in the brochure 2009 and the instructions on the website.

Committees

A commission will be formed by each Division area and by each form of grant.

Awarding of 150 million euro for the Veni, Vidi and Vici grants on a yearly basis.
